After 25 years in the corporate world as a leadership and training expert, I was burned out, depressed and disoriented. I knew I needed to find my center again. I knew I needed more. So I trained in mindfulness, thought work and life coaching.
It was during this training that I realized that the changes in leadership, manager layoffs, toxic co-workers, fly by the seat of your pants processes left me feeling depressed and disoriented because my thinking habits were poor and I told myself untrue, irrational stories. I allowed these external situations to dictate my state of mind. Through the mindfulness, thought work, and diligent, regular practice I developed new habits of thinking. Most of the time I’m centered and at peace. By being a witness to my internal process I can stop myself sooner. I stop blaming external situations that disturbed my internal peace of mind.
That’s why today I help stressed-out, over-worked, baby boomer women professionals reclaim their lives & find peace in the midst of chaos by applying a three month process of mind fitness training so they can strengthen their thinking habits and move from trying to control the external world to changing the only thing they can, their relationship to themselves.
After completely my undergraduate studies in psychology & education, and then a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, I began a 25-year corporate career in leadership and training with companies including Microsoft and Boeing. The highlight of my career was facilitating a Leadership Excellence course at the Boeing Leadership Center in St. Louis to managers of all levels.
After over 25 years in the corporate world, I left to train in mindfulness, thought work and life coaching, and started my own coaching & consulting business focused on helping stressed out and burned out baby boomer women find their own peace in the midst of chaos at work.

I’m a believer in transformation. Pain is the great teacher that gets my attention and says “hey, this is not working.” For me it was a job that totally burned me out and left me depressed and disoriented. All the things I thought were healed came back in full force. Personal growth does not happen in a straight linear path. Evolution happens in highs and deep lows. As I continue to heal, I am allowing the quiet inner voice lead and guide me. It’s not easy because the mind wants to dominate and figure it all out. This mode does not work for me anymore. It takes getting quiet and listening to what wants to emerge. It’s learning to be vulnerable and speak my truth.
I’m a survivor of anxiety and depression that started at age 19. Recovery for me involved years of therapy, self-help workshops, meditation retreats, devouring self-help books, and attending various 12 step groups.
Along the way I earned my master’s degree in organization development from Seattle University with an undergraduate degree in psychology and education. I’ve worked for Boeing teaching and designing leadership courses. The highlight of my career was facilitating a course called “Leadership Excellence” at the Boeing Leadership Center in St. Louis with managers of all levels.
